These conditions govern access to Mason County Criminal History. Visiting, reading, or using a search tool means that you agree to them. Do not continue to use the website if you do not accept these terms.

NO FCRA USE. Mason County Criminal History is privately run and has no government affiliation. It and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This resource helps readers locate public record channels in Mason County, Michigan. It is neither a private investigation service nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no relationship to a government office. It does not store official criminal records, retrieve files, conduct official checks, or submit documents for a visitor.

Its function is to identify the Mason County Sheriff, the 79th District and 51st Circuit courts, the Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center, the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry, and outside tools that may aid lawful research.

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked tool may not be used to intimidate, discriminate against, stalk, threaten, or harass anyone. The restriction is especially important for Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry data. Michigan’s Sex Offenders Registration Act, MCL 28.721 et seq., governs that public information, and misuse may be a crime. Registry access supports public safety awareness, never vigilante conduct or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create credit reports, background reports, or consumer reports. Its advertising partners do not provide tools designed to evaluate applicants, insurance eligibility, housing, or credit. You agree not to use information here or from a linked tool to:

  • Assess creditworthiness or insurance eligibility
  • Evaluate a current or prospective employee
  • Review a rental or housing applicant
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Make any other decision governed by the FCRA

Where a regulated check is legally required, use the proper official Michigan channel or a provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without prior notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is found invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in force. The affected term will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.
